How do I clean my clay flower pots? they are stained white on the outside, looks like lime.

I just read an article that said to wash them out with soap and water then rinse. Use a cloth soaked in white vinegar and wipe them inside and out. I have not tried it yet, but the idea came from "Heloise's Hints"

Use a scrub brush. Scrub them with a solution of water, a little dish soap, and a very little bit of bleach. Rinse thoroughly.
