I had something similar happen to my car. After my car was cleaned, I used lemon juice in the car. Placed in a bowl close to the smell. I closed the windows for a couple of hours. After that, open your car doors and windows and let it air out.
I think I remember mixing the lemon juice with water and rubbing it directly on the seat of my car. Luckily it was the back seat. If you do this, test it on a spot that is not so obvious.
I had to repeat this process about 4 times. Now I can't tell it was ever there.
Hope this works for you.
Medical supply stores sell a product used in hospitals called "Rainfresh". It breaks up the molecules in protein caused odors: vomit, feces, urine. I think fish qualifies as protein. Rainfresh is sold to the general public.
I let my brother in law use my van and he bought shrimp. He put it in a cooler and the water spilled on my carpet now my van smells like rotten seafood. Can anyone help?
I had a bag of frozen fish fillets melt a little on the way home in our minivan. A small amount of water the fillets were in soaked into the carpet on the floor and the whole van reeks like fish. What can I use to remove (or at least neutralize) the odor?

I spilled crab bisque on the carpet in my car. I scrubbed it with carpet shampoo then used Febreze for pet odors, but the odor is still there after a month. Any suggestions?
Please tell me how to get crab juice smell out of my car. What can I use?
