Lemon Lime Chicken

Citrusy with Asian flavors, and easy to make. Serve over rice.

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut in half and skinned
  • 4 chicken thighs, skinned

  • 1 lemon, juiced (I like to use the pulp too)
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tsp. 5-spice powder
  • 1/4 cup honey

Combine the marinade ingredients. Pour over the chicken pieces, and chill for 2 hours.

Put the chicken, meaty side down, and marinade in a baking pan. Cover with foil. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes.

Remove the foil and raise the heat to 450 degrees F. Bake for 15 minutes. Turn the chicken, baste, and cook until done. In the last 5 minutes, turn meaty side up, and brush with a little more honey. Broil for a few more minutes, until glazed and bubbly.

Servings: 4 - 6

This sounds so good and we are eating more and more chicken these days, and besides, I love cooking with honey.

Thank you for sharing your recipe. Thumbs Up.

Ummmmm. Anything with a citrus flavor from cake to chicken suits us just fine. Honey goes so well with citrus flavors too, so you have a winner here. I can't wait to try your recipe. I'm thinking the aroma of it baking will have us all waiting for it to get done too.

Thank you so much for sharing it.
