Sock-It-To-Me Cake

Sock-It-To-Me Cake I

Ingredients

Cake:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 3 tsp. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 chopped pecans
Glaze:
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Directions

Mix sugar, cake mix, sour cream, oil and eggs. Pour 1/2 of mixture in a greased tube or Bundt pan. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Over cake mix in pan, sprinkle 1/2 of brown sugar mixture and swirl with a knife blade. Pour remainder of cake mix in tube pan and sprinkle remainder of brown sugar mixture over the top, again swirl with knife blade. Bake in 325 degree preheated oven for 1 hr. or till cake tests done. While cake is baking, in a saucepan, brown glaze ingredients. Set aside. After removing cake from pan, while the cake is still warm, pour glaze over top of cake.

Sock-It-To-Me Cake II

Ingredients

  • 1 package yellow butter recipe cake mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • sugar (1/2 cup + 3 Tbsp.)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions

Combine first 3 ingredients with 1/2 cup sugar in bowl. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Pour half of batter into greased and floured bundt pan. Combine 3 Tbsp. sugar with cinnamon in small bowl, mixing well. Sprinkle half of mixture over batter in pan, cutting in with a knife. Add remaining batter and cinnamon mixture, cutting in as before. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until cake tests done.

WOW Thank You . I love this cake and take
it to friends who like it too. I buy it but have
noticed like all other things price has jumped
up and cakes get smaller.
I never thought to try it but now will.
Your recipes are always good.
