Overnight Crockpot Roast

In a crockpot, put a roast (we prefer pork roast) and put 1 tsp. of diced garlic, then sprinkle one package of dry brown gravy mix over top of roast. Cook overnight on low. The next morning, add vegetables of your choice. We use sliced onions, carrots, potatoes and celery.

Note: Put 1/2 cup water in the bottom of the crockpot, when you start to cook it. And I cook it in the crockpot on low. You can put the vegetables in when you get up (fresh not canned) and they will be done by 3:00 p.m. That's for a large roast a small one wouldn't take as long to cook. Hope this helps your readers my family loves it.

We wrote to Barbara and her answer is in the original post, yes, add water, 1/2 cup. There is more information about cooking of veggies, etc.

Could you be more specific, how long is overnight and how long after you add the veggies do you continue to cook the roast. I love roast pork and i might ask my hubby to do this for mother's day dinner. Thanks.
