Kentucky Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 4 cups canned peaches
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • dash salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Directions

Arrange peaches in greased 9x13 inch baking pan. In mixing bowl combine batter and 1/3 cup sugar. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Pour over peaches and sprinkle with remaining sugar. Pour cold water over top. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35-40 minutes and until lightly golden. Very good served with vanilla ice cream.
