Very moist and delicious!
Prepare cake in 13x9 inch baking pan and bake according to package directions. Combine pineapple and sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil. Cool slightly. When cake is done, remove from oven.
Poke holes in it with a fork. Pour pineapple syrup into holes. Set aside to cool. Prepare pudding mix according to package directions. Cool. Spread prepared pudding over top. Chill.

Sounds it will be pretty sweet. Where does the Whipped cream & coconut come into place, you seem to left it out?
Not to ruin your recipe, but I wonder how it would taste topped with Whipped cream/ vanilla pudding/coconut mixture. I knew a lady who makes her own frosting with cool whip and a package unprepared chocolate pudding... its like a mousse, very delicious and not overly sweet.
