I hear the hottest trends in flooring are bamboo and cork. I believe they are less expensive than hardwood with a similar effect. I would recommend that you do some internet searches where you are sure to find pictures, colors, and approximate prices. Good luck!

The deal is....are you a do it yourselfer or are you going to hire whatever you choose to be done by a professional?
That will make a big difference. Wood Laminate flooring is the big thing now and alot can be done by the homeowner.....
