Teff - A One-Horse-Powered Lawnmower
Here is the coolest, most "green", one-horse-powered lawnmower anyone could ever have! This is Teff, our 6 year-old, miniature, "sea"-horse. Since we got him at 8 months old, he has kept the lawn on our lighthouse station mowed beautifully. How does he travel, you ask? He's been by both ship and helicopter and takes either mode of transportation quite in stride.

We have had horses all our lives and they are the greatest lawn mowers around. You had me going with "sea-horse" until I finished reading your story. He's a cute fellow. We had one that looked just like him; his name was Tinker. He'd take a 5 gal. bucket and scoop it up onto his head and run around his paddock "blindfolded".. Wish I'd gotten videos of him doing that as he's deceased now. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

Have read your stories in the Lehman's newsletter, and about your recent move from one station to another. I enjoy reading them and am looking forward to the next installment!

Thank you for sharing that wonderful story, and
Teff's picture. What a nice way to keep your lawn
mowed and have good company at the same time.
I'm betting he just loves his job, huh?

All the best to you and to Teff.

I recognized your horse by name! How many miniature horses named Teff that mow grass at a lighthouse station can there be?! Originally read the story with him in the Lehman's newsletter. Thanks for the great photo!

Your lawnmower is sure a lot cuter than mine! I love this picture and his story. Do you live at a lighthouse?
