This is a great dip for chips. Most everyone loves it! Great for teen parties.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 env. taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can chili beans, mashed
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 8-16oz. refried beans, mashed
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup Velveeta cheese cubes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

Brown ground beef and onion in skillet and drain. Mix with remaining ingredients except cheeses in bowl. Layer half the mixture, Velveeta cheese, remaining mixture and cheddar cheese in crock pot. Cook on low until cheeses melt and mixture can be stirred together. Check often as the time this takes varies according to each crock pot. Serve with tortilla chips.

This sounds great. But wondering, could this be put in freezer? It would make too much for my family to finish. Thanks!
