Wendy's Chili (Copycat)

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1-29 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1-29 oz kidney beans (with liquid)
  • 1-29 oz can pinto beans (with liquid)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green chili (about 2 chilies)
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tsp. cumin powder
  • 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cup water

Directions

Brown ground beef over medium heat, drain. Add remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat, stirring about every 15 minutes for 2-3 hours.

Could I put this in the crockpot on low for several hours? I don't have the time or energy to stand and stir something every 15 min. for a couple of HOURS

I have made this recipe for years and love it. It is the best.
