Orange Raisin Squares

Ingredients

1 cup raisins
1 cup boiling water
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
4 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Directions

Mix first three ingredients together and let stand until cool.

Cream together remaining ingredients. Add raisin mixture. Bake in a 9x13 inch pan at 350 degrees F oven for 25 minutes. Cool and ice with grated rind and juice from one orange, icing sugar and 1 Tbsp. butter.

Very very good.

I have verified my recipe and the orange is not in the list of ingredients.

You only use it for the icing.

Maybe it should be in the list.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
