Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can condensed tomato soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/4 oz. envelope chili seasoning mix
- 2 cups corn or tortilla chips, crushed
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- shredded American cheese
- sour cream
Directions
In skillet cook beef and onions until meat is browned; drain excess fat. In small mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and water. Stir into meat mixture along with condensed soup, milk and seasoning mix. Cook and stir until slightly thickened and bubbly. Stir in chips and Monterey Jack cheese. Turn mixture into 2 qt. casserole. Cook, uncovered, in 350 degree F oven for about 30-40 minutes, stirring after 15 minutes. Spoon sour cream around edge of casserole, sprinkle American cheese over sour cream. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes to melt cheese.
