Broil or Grill Peaches

Here is an absolutely delicious way to use summer peaches - especially those ones that never seem to get absolutely soft ripe. Halve and de-stone peaches and broil them for a few minutes either side (or put them on the barbecue) until they're soft and sticky. Serve them warm with ice-cream as a sweet dish or with blue cheese and watercress/rocket as a salad main course.

I do this too but right before I place them on the grill I dip the cut sides in sugar and place cut side down. Adds just a touch of burnt sugar. Very yummy!
