Aluminum Ring on My Smooth Range

I burned an aluminum pot on my smooth cooktop and cannot get aluminum ring off burner. What do I do?

Have you tried Barkeeper's Friend - it's a cleanser but doesn't scratch. I find it very good for removing burned stuff from my smooth top stove. You could also try the special polish for smooth cooktops. Apply it and leave on overnight and clean off in the morning. Hope this helps.
