I am looking for a good rug cleaning product that will handle most household stains. Food spills, dirt under feet etc.

Mean green $5.00 a gallon at dollar general or awesome cleaner. They both cover a lot of carpet stains. Used these on my old white carpet, and well became white again. I also use these for the car seats and carpeting. I use a spray bottle of solution and a extractor. Does great. Plus you can use these products for other purposes. I have removed grease stains, pet stains, kid stains, and food stains.

I have a spray bottle filled with water and a small amount of Woollite. That has worked for me. Caution: not too much Woolite.

For spots on the carpeting I always use a mixture of small amoount vinegar and small amount of dish soap (not dish washer) Use a brush and scrub spot. Almost always come out.
