Making Paper Bags From Newspaper

When I was growing up, my mother who was a Public Health Nurse, used to make paper bags from newspapers. She did this by folding several sheets of newspapers. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

During World War II we use to make the garbage bags from newspapers as a conservation project and the Origami pattern is what we used. Thanks for the up-date as I had forgotten how to do it.
