Applesauce Bread

Ingredients:
  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions:

Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl; stir in raisins. make a well in center of mixture. Combine egg, applesauce, and oil; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon mixture into a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan, and let cool on a wire rack.
