Apricot Nut Bread
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup dried apricots (uncooked, chopped fine)
1 egg (well beaten)
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add nuts, apricots, egg, milk, and shortening. Mix all ingredients and put in loaf pan. Let stand 20 minutes, then bake 1 hour at 375 degrees.
