Saving Energy While Boiling Pasta |
|
|
When boiling pasta, bring the water to a full rolling boil in a pan with a tight lid. Then add the pasta, stir. Bring to a full rolling boil again, stir again, and then replace the lid tightly and turn the burner off. The pasta will cook in just a little more time than it would if you kept the burner on, and you will eliminate boil-over messes on the stovetop AND save energy!
