If you have a leaky faucet, you need to fix it right away. Just a little drip can cost a lot on your water bill each month!

Also your electric or gas bill depending on the type of water heater you own. (If it is a hot water drip.)

go to a home repair store and buy plumbers tape. it's a very thin type of white tape. unscrew the hand held shower head and wrap the plumbers tape around the threads of the wall fixture (where the shower head screws on).

be sure to wrap in in the same direction you will be tightening (the direction the threads go) only wrap it about 2 or three times all the way around. and be careful to do a perfect job... keep the tape on the threads!

now screw your shower head back on. you're in business! :)

I've never been successful with plumbing fixtures. I installed a new water pik hand held shower head today. I used some pipe tape before tightening the shower head (which has a pivot ball). The shower works fine but there's water dripping from where I attached the shower head to the pipe. I/m afraid to overtighten the showerhead... any suggestions?
