One Skillet Meal

It is simple to make and has a variety of options so it can be changed from person to person.


  • 1 lb. ground beef (can use deer, sausage, or chicken)
  • Ad
  • 1 jar salsa (can substitute spaghetti sauce)
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can corn


  • refried beans
  • shredded cheese of your choice
  • shredded lettuce
  • chopped tomatoes
  • taco sauce
  • ranch dressing
  • tortilla chips or corn chips


In a medium skillet, brown ground beef season to taste, drain excess fat. Add salsa (or sauce), black beans, and corn. While heating, heat refried beans in a small saucepan. Place the other ingredients in bowls. Assemble as desired. I like to place the chips, then lettuce, refried beans, and the ingredients from skillet. Top with cheese and ranch dressing.

I like this because each person can pick what they like. I have 8 children and they all can find something they like (of course I double the recipe). This works great also for entertaining, like a Super Bowl party or New Year's party. The preparation is fast and works great anytime!
