For generations my family took tobacco from a cigarette, mixed it with ammonia, applied as quickly as possible to neutralize the stinging acid that comes from the bee/wasp.
Also, keep in mind that a single sting can be fatal to anyone who is allergic to it. Best to keep benedryl capsules around in case it becomes a bigger medical challenge to the victim than expected. Shortness of breath and hives, can be the first sign, usually with very little time to waste getting them v e r y quickly to emergency care, while someone grabs the benedryl and a cup of tap water. Should they pass out, they could be near death in shock. I have known two people who were this sensitive to bee/wasp stings and nearly died. Try to learn whether any friends are like this, for their own sake.
God give you wisdom and protect you. : )

Ammonia is a better remedy. We bought a product called After-Bite which worked wonderfully well, but smelled like ammonia. After reading the label we realized it was nothing but ammonia. It works very well on all bites and stings that we have had since.
