Don't forget to change (or clean, depending on the type) your filters for your AC before you turn it on this season. A clean filter not only saves you money, but it also cuts down on colds and virus.
If you are plan to purchase a new AC system, check the with your electric company or the website for the manufacturer first for any rebates.
My husband and I used to buy those expensive filters for our central air and heat exchange, we spent way to much money! We tried vacuuming them out but that didnt work that well, you cant wash them out. We never could find the ones that you just wash out and reinstall to fit our exchange, So we starting buying the cheap ones by bulk and now we change them every month the day our utility bill comes in. The air does stay clean and our system stays clean, We clean our outdoor system ourselves every spring. We turn off the breakers both inside and at the unit, take the cage off wash out with the hose let it dry out and put it back together, NEVER let grass clipping from the lawn mower blow back onto the unit. We save a lot of money doing these little things that takes very little time to do. Hope this helps someone else save some money too!

I change mine automatically on the first of every month. That way I never forget.
