Make Your Cornbread More Firm

As I have moved around over the years, I found that my favorite cornbread recipe changed in firmness depending on where I lived.

I have had two suggestions given to me that work very well. Adding an extra egg helps a lot and does not change the texture. Adding about 1/8-1/4 cup sour cream to your batter makes a nice, firm cornbread, if you prefer yours more firm.
