Has anyone joined a current "Type-At-Home" program that is legitimate? I'm thinking of joining at www.type-at-home.com. However, I would feel more comfortable if I heard from someone that has knowledge about how it works.

I use the hunt and peck method, so wouldn't qualify if it were legit. Of all the work from home jobs I've looked at and tried though only one has been all it said it would be. I've received a check every month for the past 12 months just for introducing people to a catalog company, setting up their account and helping them place their first direct from the company order. They get safer more economical products for their homes and family. Things they use on a daily basis anyway. I get paid month after month when they shop. Even if they didn't pay me to tell others about the company I would still use the products. UPS brings it straight to my door, no more waiting in line at Walmart. Also my daughter's asthma has practically disappeared since I switched "stores". No more harsh chemicals to aggravate her asthma.

Does anyone have any suggestions for someone without the option of a DSL connection? I live over 40 miles from town, and gasoline was killing me. I quit my job and am now looking for something that I can do from home to earn a little income. Everything that I see for work-at-home-agents requires a DSL connection. I live in a rural area without the option of DSL or Cable... I have a B.S. in B.A., but I'm stuck in a rut and can't think of anything.

Ok...color me stupid, I guess, but I read the whole article at that link and still cannot tell if type-at-home is a good site or not! I'm not looking for a "get rich quick" scheme and I know that "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"...all I'm looking for is something to supplement what I make at my day job so we can have enough money to buy birthday and CHRISTmas presents for our 5 grandchildren and their parents!

Can anybody clarify????

Thanks and God Bless,
Sheila in Titusville, FL

I am looking for a typist for psychological evaluations.

We pay $25 per report, which is about 10-11 pages long.
Everything is done through digital dictation, with a document template.

All you need is a computer and email address.

Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, including auto text and find and replace.

Please reply to jankasony@yahoo.com

Editor's Note: We have no knowledge about this other than what is posted.

I did a search on the type at home program, and I'd like to add my 2 cents. The first rule of thumb for any job is that if you have to pay THEM to work, its a scam. Type at Home wants a $49.99 one time charge. That will "upgrade" you to the "VIP Members Area and Receive 3 Massive Bonuses To Boost Your Income!" Secondly, Type At Home is run by Billy Briggs.....do a google search and that should convince you that its a bad deal.
On a different note, I've contacted and done research on Alpine as Dana suggested. There is no money up front, they don't promise you the moon, just competitive and reasonable rates, they are up front with what they expect from you and give you a list of what you actually need at home to get started (nothing outrageous, just a good internet connection, land line, phone headset and set hours). The only reason I didn't sign up with them was because there were no positions in my area at the time.
Joan
side note to *Sheila*.......I'm also in T'ville

babytobee.com. I've been working there for 5 weeks now. get paid every week. $10 an hour. Can log on from 9am-midnight anytime you want. No predetermined schedule. Drawback-Oh no I'm a telemarketer now.Yikes. Is working out great.

I'm sorry if this doesn't make too much sense, but I'm up waaaay past my bedtime.
A few days ago, I read an article at abcnews site, and it talked about legit work at home companies. Here's a few they mentioned:
http://www.alpineaccess.com/external/careers/agent_requirements.html

http://www.arise.com/content/how-it-works-faq.asp

http://www.liveops.com/answer_agents_faq.html#q3

I never contacted any of these, I don't remember what they do, I think? it's taking inbound customer service calls.

Hope this helps and if you could drop me a follow up note, I'd appreciate it. If these places are any good, I want to pass this on to others. If they're bad, then I don't want to refer people to them.

Dana

I tried "type-at-home.com" and could not do a thing with it. spent days trying to just set up accounts at yahoo, paypal and paydotcom.com and then started typing. Made no money. Now this program may work for some people but I just didn't have any luck with it. Hope you find one and let everyone know what it is. I'd like to find one myself.

I haven't heard of that one but I have heard of Arise.com, LiveOps.com, and WorkingSol.com. Just a few more options.

I don't know about type-at-home.com, but I think genuinejobs.com is legitimate. You have to be careful with each job, of course.
