Save on Drying - Spin Twice

Another cost saver when doing laundry: when the washer has finished all cycles, reset to the final spin and do again. This extra step will remove all excess moisture possible and cut your dryer time by at least 1/3. It is way more expensive to run your dryer than for the extra drying time than to reset and use your washer for an extra spin cycle. This step cuts drying time in half for me on jeans, heavy bath towels and bedding.

To save time and money drying your clothes, make sure you shake them out when they come out of the washing machine. The spin cycle packs the clothes together and the air can't circulate through the clothes well.

I bet rearranging the clothes a little bit, before you spin them dry for the second time, would help too. I'm going to try it on a load of jeans. They take forever to dry.

Run Second Spin Cycle To Save on Drying

Re-spin your wet laundry for an extra water-removal step. The clothes go into your dryer or hanging out on the line much dryer than if you use just the one spin cycle. This works fantastically for jeans and towels.
