Boiled Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Mix sugar, cocoa, margarine and milk; bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add peanut butter, oats, and vanilla. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonful on wax paper and cool. Makes about 4 dozen.

These sound good, and easy. I will be adding these to my Christmas cookies that I bake every year for family and friends. Thank you for sharing!

Recipe: Boiled Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 cup raw quick cooking oats
  • chopped nuts (optional)
  • raisins (optional)

Directions:

In a medium pan, mix first 4 ingredients together. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat; add rest of ingredients. Stir only until blended and drop by spoon onto waxed paper or pour into a greased pan. (If put in a pan, chill and cut in squares to serve. If dropped onto waxed paper, let stand 30 minutes to cool).
