Basic Seasoning Salt

Handy to have one shaker instead of a dozen.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup table salt
  • 2 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 Tbsp. celery salt
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. dill weed or dill salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. accent
  • 1 Tbsp. white sugar

Directions:

Mix ingredients and keep in a shaker to use on meats, eggs in casseroles just about anything. Once you try it you will use in on most everything. Feel free to adjust the amounts or ingredients.

The original recipe called for 2 Tbsp. white sugar, I often don't use any but it may surprise you what it does for the flavor.

A use for those single salt or pepper shakers or a saved shaker container.

Request: Recipe for Seasoning Salt

I need a recipe for homemade seasoning salt. I have completed my shopping for my Christmas cooking, but forgot to buy seasoning salt - and its critical to one of my recipes. I probably have the ingredients on hand, but I don't know exactly what I need, or how much of each ingredient. If any of the great cooks on this site have a recipe for seasoning salt I will be very grateful if you can share it.
Thank you,
Judy
