Social services, the Goodwill, Salvation Army, area churches. Or go to a garage sale and tell the people you will haul away items that don't sell. Put an ad in the paper. Go to www.freecycle.org Dumpster dive, go to a dump. Our country is so rich you should be able to find treasures at every corner. Several Christian websites could help--just start looking and asking.

Try www.freecycle.org to see if your area has a local chapter. This organization is set up to share items with each other; their goal is to keep usuable items out of landfills. Everything is free.

Also craigslist.org has some free items, as well as many low cost.
