Easy Doughnuts II

Ingredients

  • 1 can of refrigerated plain buttermilk biscuits
  • Cinnamon and Sugar Mixture
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Directions

Separate biscuits-there should be about 10 in a can. Break each biscuit into fourths-so now you have 40 total pieces. Roll each piece into a ball in the palm of your hand.

Fry a few of these dough balls at a time in the hot oil. Turn over when golden brown and cook the other side. Remove from oil and drain on a cookie sheet covered with paper towel. Add more balls of biscuit dough to the oil to cook. While they are cooking, place the ones that are done into a brown lunch bag. Dump in some cinnamon and sugar, roll the top down a little, and shake to coat. Remove doughnuts from the bag and place onto serving plate.

Continue on cooking, draining, and shaking until all of the dough balls are used up.

These are so good you may want to have 2 or 3 cans of biscuits on hand to cook into doughnuts!

I have made the doughnuts from the pillsbury pop out of the can bisquits, its so easy. I do take a pill bottle or somthing small and press int the center of the bisquits. I then have a doughnut and a hole to deep fry. Umm, quick and easy. Laura
