Did you know some local libraries will let you check out framed artwork to hang in your house for a couple of weeks? When I was decorating my living room and wasn't sure what kind of painting would look good on one of my walls I simply checked out a couple of paintings, hung them for a couple of days each until I decided which one I liked. Once I had an idea of what I was looking for, it was a great help when I was sifting through thrift store pictures.
