This is Bear. He is 8 months old. We got him from a local animal shelter in NC, when he was 3 months old. He is a Border Collie mix. He is a "herding" dog, and will "herd" us, and anything else he can. He loves to chase my chickens, and clown for attention.

We have a boder collie mix. I am not sure what it is mixed with but it is black and slightly bigger than a border collie. That is the only difference.
This is our Amy, we got her from a shelter in suburban Chicago. Our vet feels she is Black Lab/Border Collie mix. She herds and is incredibly high energy. She doesn't have the long fur of a BC, but her fur has taken on the softness - it's not wiry like a Lab. One ear sits like a lab ear, the other folds like a BC. She's definitely SILLY! But she's a lot of fun!

It sounds like he could be from the same litter of mine! High energy doesn't come close!

nice, we have a border collie/black lab pup that looks like your guy + some white markings.
Pretty boy. Sounds like he has fun chasing the chickens. So great that you got him a shelter.
Hi there Little Bear! Lots of hugs to that special looking face. Have fun keeping everyone and everything in line!
He is adorable. What a beautiful dog too. For a herding dog, he sounds like he has plenty of room & crutters to do it. That's a good thing.
