What to Do With an Unused 220 Circuit?

I've recently removed two base board heaters and thermostats, it's a 220.
What can be done with this circuit?
Is it OK to end in a junction box?

I had some electric base board heating removed. The electrican disconnected the wiring at the circuit breaker box and put some devises over the breakers so they can't be energized. In your case the wired could be removed from the box. The wires that were used for the heat cannot be used again. The breakers could be used with new wires run from the breakers to where ever the new receptacles would be located.
