Nail Polish Remover Stain on Sofa

I JUST spilled dark blue nail polish on my mother's light green sofa. I freaked out. Then, I got a washcloth and put nail polish remover on one side of it and scrubbed, not too hard though, and after a few minutes I got rubbing alcohol and put it on the other side and scrubbed. Then when it looked mostly gone, I put some dish soap on it and scrubbed then scrubbed it with hot water, it came out perfectly. :)
