Any ideas on sure fire ways to get your hair to grow fast? I think brushing it stimulates the scalp and helps some... any other ideas?

Thanks,

The holistic doctor I worked for and other people say that it's really minerals, not so much the vitamins, that you need to get enough of for your hair and nails to grow. A great source for them is in unrefined good salt. I have some Himalayan and Hawaiian Pink Salt that is packed with minerals and tastes yummy. I sprinkle it on salads and veggies and pasta and rice and whatever.

Massaging the scalp daily for at least five minutes also helps. I do this and my hair grows three inches every month.

Most of these things will only damage your hair or cause flaking. The best thing to do is get a deep condition every two weeks and a roller set to avoid style your hair every day with heating appliances.

All you need it time. Your hair is not going to grow any faster no matter what you do.

I have heard you can use mane' n' tail, but I don't really know. I have used it before and it did help. I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I had the hair style where it is long in the front and short in the back and I need the front shortened a little cause it had been 4 months since I last cut it, The person who cut my hair cut it even with the back and even all around so its about to my chin. I was one hot person. I'm just tying to get my hair to grow about two or three inches more and I'll be fine with it :)

I recently cut my hair, like, yesterday. It was past my shoulders before and now it's a bit past my chin. I really dislike it and cry every time I see my short hair.

I was wondering if there is anything I can use to make my hair grow longer faster, so I don't have to keep being bummed out about my hair.

Mixing a few egg yokes, honey and a spoon of olive oil makes hair in better condition and gives you length. But as a hairstylist, I would not recommend that you wash your hair on daily basis no matter what you are trying to achieve. SHAMPOO DRIES out your hair people! So this goes out to a few people who mentioned that they wash their hair everyday with shampoo but only condition it EVERY OTHER DAY! I recommend the opposite, or if you find your hair still being oily if you only rinse it. Just use conditioner then, wash and shampoo your hair every other day.

If your hair doesn't get as dirty and lathers fast, then shampoo your hair only once. Do squeeze the water out of your hair and DO leave the conditioner as directed in the back!

I put olive oil in my shampoo, then after that I boil green tea bags and use the excess juice from the bags and spread it all around my head. I do this every time I wash my hair and my hair was two inches in December. Now it's 7inches in March.

I have had 5 children in the past 10 years. My hair seems to keep breaking off shorter and shorter. Any advice? I tried scalp massage. I don't want to get my ends trimmed any more. I'm afraid of it getting too short. It used to be down to my butt. But it is to the middle of my back now.

Editor's Note: Pregnancy robs your body of lots of nutrients and gives them to the baby if you are short on them. Make sure you are taking a good multivitamin and eating well, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I've heard it takes a good 2 years or longer for your body to recover from a pregnancy. If any of your children are closer than 2 years apart, your body didn't have time to totally recover before having another baby. It seems like hair, teeth, nails and bones all need lots of nutrients to be healthy and can often be affected by pregnancies.

I have been on a few different websites. I use wooden brushes, but brush softly and apple cider and sage tea. Washing your hair with this makes it grow quicker. Boil rosemary leaves and use these next time you wash your hair, as it stimulates the growth of hair, like you have all said olive oil. Hope it works. xxx aliicia

I've tried aspirin and olive oil in my shampoo. It works. Even for black hair.

Doesn't the oil make your hair too oily? I believe it would shine, but my hair is so thin, I would be afraid to use oil products. Any ideas for poofing thin hair?

Thanks,

I recently had my hair died at the beginning of august and I already have around 3-4 inches of roots.
All I do is shampoo it every day and condition it every other day. If I decide to use any kind of heat on it, I use a chi straightener and a chi blow dryer, and it doesn't damage my hair what so ever at all.
Ever since I started shampooing and conditioning my hair different with the chi products, it has made my hair grow super fast.

I have a really ugly bangs right now. Most of my hair is past my shoulders. Normally when I have a bad haircut, I just wait until the time passes, but I hate covering up my bangs everyday. I don't really have too much advice, but I think I am gonna try the olive oil! Thanks

I was told that if you put one aspirin in your shampoo and massage your hair for about 2 minutes this helps stimulate your hair to grow faster.
Try this..this works for me.
Also if you wish use
1 aspirin
1 teaspoon of olive oil
and two teaspoons of shampoo
add these ingredients apply it to your hair and massage for about 2-3 minutes..wash out when done.

Ok, My hair is below my shoulders but I want It LONG, because I watch all my friends with their long hair. My hair is soft and slightly wavy. I want my hair to be long. What is the cheapest, fastest, and the most natural way to get my hair down to my lower back in 3 months?

Editor's Note: Hair grows an average of 1/2 inch per month so it will probably take you longer than three months, no matter what you try.

Yes, a little sun each day could not hurt. BioZinc Soloray brand is what I buy), will work well, combined with Horsetail Root herb and ANY KIND OF DECENT EXERCISE, from walking around house most of the day/very few rests, to stair climbing. I personally
have good luck with Henna hair coloring, but it takes a whole day to process, is staining/has odor of wet
Alfalfa mixed with coffee and rancid tea, which lingers
but creates the oddest and best natural coloring when mixed with red/black Henna powders almost equally. Don't try this yourself, but find a stylist who specializes in Henna applications. I cannot understand why it helps weak thinning hair to be thicker and more healthy looking, as WELL as leaves
streaks and various shimmering colors like a child's hair. It takes me about 12 hours to get the color I want. Adding the essential oils is truly ESSENTIAL to
be able to tolerate the odor...AND NOT washing the Henna out right too well on the first day, not setting
or blow drying hair, but rather letting it "linger" like
a pot simmering on low heat, for an additional day
seems to be one of the secrets to make it last longer. I really love the color of mixed dark strawberry blonde (normal color is lots of mixed grey
and Medium brown). It's also VERY important to
use average shampoo, but Clarifying Shampoo should it need to be striped out/down a notch. I've been using it for about a year now. I had thinning
slow growing hair, but once I resumed working in the garden/and in sun, I now have normal thickness and faster growing hair. Each person's hair, body chemistry, habits, metabolism and ethnicity has a great bearing on how it should be applied to achieve the best color. It's not so easily predictable, but if you can remain more flexible, trust God to both help it to grow and to give a better color to it, should you decide/need to color it for added strength, important to keep what one has from falling out before it gets long. Multivitamins/minerals is CRITICAL to good health/ stong hair growth in this day /time of too few nutrients replaced in the soils. Good luck and God bless you. : )

My mother-in-law cuts hair(she owns her own shop)and when I asked the same thing she told me if you're getting all the vitamins you need then nothing will help. and if you brush your hair too much it will cause damage(split ends and such.)

my three year old son poured olive oile on his head and when I washed it out... viola.. soft hair. i also noticed that his hair turned lighter and instead of his hair growing the usual 2 cm. a month it grew 4!!!(this occured in the winter so it had nothing to do with the sun.) the same effects occured to my hair when i put olive oil in my hair. (P.s don't try it on curly hair my sister in law tried it and it made her hair very fragile)

Definitely prenatal vitamins! I just dyed my hair a lighter color and I can see the new growth already in less than two weeks and I am taking daily prenatals

Its according to what type of hair you have to whether brushing it will help it grow. If its curly or tends to frizz you will only break it by brushing alot. Getting it trimmed every 3 to 4 months will help. Every couple of weeks use a different shampoo, just once then go back to your regular. Always condition your hair. Just my opinion, my hair is to my waist and this is what I do.

A daily vitamin!!!

Also make sure you keep your hair well moisturized and not over styled with heat appliances (hair dryer, curling iron, hot rollers...) to prevent breakage.

I've found that Nexus products work really well as they have a time released moisturizing and nourishing ingredient.

Now that summer is almost here, go outside as much as possible. I was told the heat from the sun helps stimulate the growth. Good luck!
