Leaving Out or Substituting Ingredients
When doing your holiday baking, and your recipe calls for, let's say raisins, for an example. You don't have to use raisins, in case you don't have any (no need to rush out to the grocery) or in case you don't like raisins, you can substitute chopped nuts, or chocolate chips or dried cranberries, etc.

I always substitute chocolate chips for nuts, as I am allergic. I did this in chewy granola bars, and all the chocolate melted! What a gooey treat!
