Does anyone know how to remove tarnish from Liquid Silver necklaces? Once removed, is there a way to keep them from tarnishing again?

There's a product that we have in Australia called Tarnoff. It's a clear liquid and you just dip your jewellery in it and it immediately comes out sparking!

What I've found to be effective if the tarnish isn't too bad is to take a Kleenex and gently rub the chain with it. Hold the chain in one hand and wrap the Kleenex around it with the other. Then gently pull the chain through the Kleenex. It removes a lot of the tarnish. It also works on Liquid Silver necklaces but in either case be careful not to pull too hard.

You can easily make a silver "dip" from ingredients in your kitchen (salt, baking soda, boiling water and aluminum foil). Here's a page with a pretty good explanation:

I use toothpaste and a toothbrush, then coat with clear nail polish. HTH
