Picante Baked Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 jar picante sauce (16oz.)
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • Hot cooked rice, opt.

Directions

Place chicken in a greased shallow 2 qt. baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the picante sauce, brown sugar and mustard; pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until chicken juices run clear. Serve over rice, if desired.

Gee I make something very similar...it is Texas Two Step Chicken ...Chicken Breasts- cut into large chunks, 1 jar of Picante sauce (16 oz), 3 Tblspoons Brown Sugar and 1 Tblspoon Djon Mustard. Saute chicken chunks in an electric skillet until no more pink and juices run clear. Mix other ingredients together and pour over chicken chunks...simmer for about 40 mins...serve over cooked rice. It is one of our favorite dishes...
