Mine have always been too hyper. If you do change her food do it slowly. I always gave my cats IAMS dry only and few moist treats. So happy to hear you kept her as she must miss your mom so much. As for her weight, do you feed her just dry food or do you include wet food also. I've been reading lately that one reason our cats are getting so fat is all the dry food with now wet food. Seems the carbohydrates and fillers in the dry food do this. So I have changed the diet of my 19 lb cat Mr. Bobby.
