Wildlife: Chickens

Yesterday my husband was cutting down a couple dead trees in the yard with a chainsaw. Our chicks have never heard such a thing and were staying far away and stretching their necks to see what the noise was all about. They didn't like it at all and were creeping along the edge of the yard in a group. It was cute how they all stayed together.

How cute! Loved the your story that went with it! The chicks are feathering out very nicely.

They have been fun! I can't believe how fast they grow! They are mostly all feathered out now, but are still cute! :) Something must have scared them because they only run from bush to bush in our yard unless we are outside with them?
