How Much Work Does It Cost?
Before buying a big ticket item or anything that might not need, calculate how many hours it will take you to earn the money to buy the item. It helps me put the cost of purchases in perspective.

This is sooooooo true. It's my way of saving! I now always stop and think "is this worth standing on my feet for an 1/2 hour to just throw away for a snack?" $6.50 per hour really opened my eyes to being more careful on blowing my hard earned pay checks!
