I have a glass table top with a few minor light scratches and would like to know if I can do something to minimize them, camouflage etc. and how to protect it from now on.

Light scratches can be buffed out by using a tiny amount of Brasso on a rag. You will need LOTS of elbow grease for this. Protect the surface by adding a large lace doily as close to the same size of the glass as you can. It looks so pretty too!

Scratches on glass can be polished away with a sheepswool that goes on a drill sander disc. Use high speed for a minute or so.
