Keep Pencils from Rolling Off Your Desk
I like to put a rubber band on the tips of my pencils, right under the eraser to keep them from rolling off the table or desk. The same works for pens, too.

My desk is not exactly level, and I am very aggravated that my pen rolls onto the floor quite often when I lay it down. No More! Thanks to your tip. I took several pens and wrapped a rubber band around them immediately upon reading this.
