- 1 lb. mushrooms, ground or finely chopped
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. chives
- curry powder (opt.)
- bread, thinly sliced and trimmed
After mushrooms have been ground or chopped, place in dish towel and squeeze out most of moisture. Saute' mushrooms in butter. Sprinkle on flour, salt, lemon juice, Worcestershire and chives. Cook until it makes a paste. Brush bread with butter; spread with mushroom mixture; roll and place close together in shallow pan. Brush with melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees F until slightly brown. Serve at once. Makes 12 sandwich rolls.
