Ranch Cheese Bread

Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. yeast
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 1/2-3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. oil

Directions

Mix water and yeast. Add sugar, salt and oil. Knead in flour to make a soft dough. Place in a greased bowl. Cover; let rise 20 minutes in a warm place. Punch dough down and roll on a greased 12 inch pizza pan.

Topping

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup prepared Ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup marble cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano

Directions

Spread Ranch dressing evenly over dough. Combine seasonings and Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over dressing. Bake at 375 degrees F approximately 25-30 minutes. Remove from heat and sprinkle mozzarella and marble cheese over all. Bake 5 minutes longer.

marble cheese is usually colby/jack cheese or white and yellow chedder mixed together. Really any cheese will do.

What is marble cheese? For those of us who are "GRITS," we have not come across this before!!!!
