Beer on a Coach Purse

Someone spilled a whole can of beer on my Coach purse. How can I get the smell and stain out?

First, I would contact Coach website and ask them what they recommend. Its an expensive bag and why take chances?!

My first homemade thought would be to wipe with vinegar and water to try and remove the stain. For the odor (after it is cleaned), place a fabric softener sheet inside the bag and replace it every day.
