RE: Crocheted Poncho Pattern Post By Sue from Boston (Guest Post) (11/03/2005) Please, whatever pattern you chose to make for your precious granddaughter, do NOT put any kind of tie or ribbon around the neck opening. Even if the pattern includes one, do NOT add it to the poncho. Many children die each year when those ties and ribbons get caught on playground equipment, etc., as they choke to death.
