Crocheted Poncho Pattern |

I am looking for a crocheted poncho pattern for a little girl. My granddaughter is 4 and saw one at the store and fell in love with it. Hope someone can help as I would like to make her one for Christmas.

Hi Cheryl--All the major yarn companies have extensive lists of patterns on their websites, using their yarns of course. I'm sending a link to Stargazer's Crochet and Craft Link index. You can find almost any pattern you could ever want here. http://home.inreach.com/marthac/links.html also you could try http://Groovycrochet.com. for all kinds of retro patterns. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback on the poncho, I will look at the sites and will send in a picture of my granddaughter wearing whichever one I make.

Please, whatever pattern you chose to make for your precious granddaughter, do NOT put any kind of tie or ribbon around the neck opening. Even if the pattern includes one, do NOT add it to the poncho. Many children die each year when those ties and ribbons get caught on playground equipment, etc., as they choke to death. Send in a picture for us to enjoy when you finish her poncho, we'd love to see it, or even her wearing it ! :o)

go to http://www.Bernet.com. They have lots of free patterns. About.com (and then click on knitting) has a lot too, but I like the Bernet.com patterns better!

Look at the "Michaels" store website - I search the site for crochet poncho patterns and got a web address that might help - http://www.michaels.com/art/online/ ... chet+poncho+patterns&type=0&x=0&y=0.
