I was using incense in the home and lit the incense stick, it began flaming and the stick broke prematurely. It fell to the carpet and I was able to put the flames out but now the stick is stuck to the carpet. The carpet is a normal carpet you can buy at home depot. Cotton I suppose, any help?

Remove your incense stick first then clip what you can of burn carpet. Then clip (in other parts of carpet)to get some of the carpet and apply glue to burn carpet and put clippings onto glue. Let dry completely and you won't be able to tell where the burnt spot was.

Insense sticks are normally very thin. Try to cut it out, removing as little of the carpeting as possible.
