Keep powdered sugar in a salt shaker or a spice bottle to make sprinkling on cakes and French toast an easy thing to do.

This is a good idea....I might try that. I usually save a few empty spice containers with the shaker top. What I have done that works well too is I put some powdered sugar in a small wire strainer and either gently hit with my hand or shake it over the cake, brownies, etc. A very light amount comes out through the strainer. I have found that works well for me. Keeping some in a shaker top bottle would be nice because then it is always ready. Would also be good for pancakes and french toast.

You can surprise your friends and family
by using stencils or paper doily's. Just set them
on the french toast, or cakes and sprinkle away, lift and you have a nice pattern.
If you are adventurous you can cut their name out a peice of paper.
When I make brownies I cut out a big bow so they
look like a wrapped gift
